BACK TO SCHOOL FAIR/BACKPACK EVENT

Location: Findlay Toyota Center

In 2025 the HEF took over the annual Health and Wellness Fair/Backpack event. This event is held about a week before school starts each year at the Findlay Toyota Center in Prescott Valley. Each child can register for a free backpack filled with school supplies, and visit multiple vendors offering different services to help families in the Quad Cities area. There are also free haircuts and vaccines offered at the event, and fun activities for the kids.

TEACHER GRANTS

Date: Distributed throughout the calendar school year

Classroom and athletic grants are offered to teachers and coaches within the Humboldt Unified School District (HUSD) and require a description of the project needing funding and the number of students that will benefit from it. This opportunity helps HEF provide community support for excellence in education. Grants are awarded multiple times during the school year.
