Jonathan Knight

Jonathan has lived in Yavapai County for over 20 years and is proud to call this community home. He is raising three boys who attend HUSD schools. As the Branch Manager of Desert Financial Credit Union, Jonathan is dedicated to serving others both professionally and personally.

He currently serves on the boards of the Humboldt Education Foundation, Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Prescott Downtown Partnership, and the Prescott Chamber of Commerce. Deeply passionate about the area, Jonathan strives to give back and help the community continue to thrive and grow.

Zack Garfield

Zack Garfield

Zack and his wife of 23 years, Mandi, raised their two children in the Humboldt Unified School District (HUSD). Currently, their daughter is attending Northern Arizona University pursuing her Psychology degree while their son attends BMHS and is an honors student who plays on the Baseball and Football teams.

Zack is passionate about making a difference in the community and has been active in Read Across America, Agua Fria Little League (Board Member & Umpire-in-Chief), HUSD Bond/Override (Strategy & Phone Banking), Youth Athletics (Coach - Soccer, Baseball & Flag Football), and the Yavapai Food Neighbors Program (aka “Green Bags”).

Professionally, Zack has cultivated a 27-year career with a top financial firm including holding senior leadership roles in Risk & Control Management, Technology, Project Management and Client Services. He is currently an Executive Director of Operational Risk with responsibilities in the governance and oversight of multiple risk programs.

Robert Walker

Robert Walker

Robert was born and raised in Arizona. He grew up in Phoenix, moved to Flagstaff for 6 years and for the last 17 years in Prescott Valley. Robert has been married to his Beautiful wife Tricia for 28 years, and they have raised 3 boys who have all graduated from Bradshaw Mountain High School. (Go Bears!!)

Robert has worked at PetSmart for the last 14 years, where he has been the Store Manager for the last 12 years. He has been heavily involved in PTO’s, PTA’s, and has served on many committees for HUSD. He loves his family, his 3 dogs, and spending time with them. He is an avid sports fan and loves watching sports with his family.

Jenna Jackson

Jenna Jackson

Jenna Jackson is a teacher and parent in the Humboldt community. She holds a master’s degree in Elementary Education, and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. Jenna has also served as a Munitions Systems Specialist in the United States Air Force and has deployed to the Middle East in support of several operations.

As an advocator of education, Jenna commits her time to the Humboldt School district in various capacities, such as serving on the Liberty Traditional School PTO board, and volunteering and supporting fundraisers throughout the district.

Marty Grossman

Marty Grossman

Marty Grossman was born and raised in New York City, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree from Adelphi University in Management and Communications. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1969 – 1975 and has always served his community by volunteering with different Charities and Organizations.

Marty served as a Town Council Member from 2013-2020, he currently serves on the Mountain Institute CTED School Board.

Carol Lewis

Carol Lewis

Carol Lewis is the Assistant Director at Yavapai County Community Health Services (YCCHS). She has over 36 years of experience working at YCCHS. In her previous role she provided health education to schools across Yavapai County. She started Yavapai Healthy Schools, a program that recognizes schools that make health and safety a priority to their students, staff, and parents.

Carol is married to Michael, a special needs teacher at Mountain View Elementary. Her son Mikey will be graduating Bradshaw Mountain High School in 2026. Carol also has two grandchildren, Paislee and Tristan that attend Coyote Springs Elementary School. She looks forward to retiring in 2026 when she plans to substitute teach for HUSD and give more time to HEF along with traveling and spending time with family.

Tricia Walker

Tricia Walker

Tricia Walker has lived in the Prescott Valley/Dewey area since 2008. Tricia has 3 handsome sons who have all graduated from Bradshaw Mountain High School (Go Bears!), Tricia was a Classified employee at HUSD for 10 years and joined the HEF board to represent the classified employees who help our children every day alongside our teachers to make their students' experience the best it can be.

Tricia and her husband Robert have volunteered their time throughout their children's years within HUSD. They were part of the PTA for Lake Valley Elementary and Bradshaw Mountain Middle School while their children attended and have served on many boards and committees. They are a dedicated family to HUSD and to serving in our community.

Michelle Bates

Michelle Bates

Michelle, the branch manager at Foothills Bank, has had the pleasure of calling Yavapai County home for over 20 years. Throughout her time in the community, she has built strong ties and developed a deep commitment to service. Michelle is passionate about supporting HUSD and contributing to programs that enhance education and provide support to students, teachers, and staff. She believes that investing in our youth and educational community is key to building a strong, vibrant future and is proud to be part of initiatives that help students, educators, and staff thrive.

Michelle has also served on the committee at the Launch Pad for three years and volunteers with US Vets to support veterans. Making a difference in people’s lives is something she is truly passionate about.

Outside of work and volunteering, Michelle cherishes spending time with her kids and grandkids. She stays active through CrossFit, marathons, and various other physical pursuits.

Anne Orel

Anne Orel

Anne has called Prescott Valley home since 2020, where she lives with her husband Derrek. Together, they raised four children. During her children’s school years, Anne was an active classroom volunteer, developing a deep appreciation for the vital role education plays in a thriving community. Now, with her children grown, she is dedicated to supporting youth and education through volunteer work.

Anne previously served on the board of the Kiwanis Club of Prescott Valley and also currently sits on the board of the Yavapai Family Advocacy Center. In her free time, she enjoys reading, kayaking with her husband, and catering to the attitude of their cat Sammie.

Jeremy Brinkerhoff

Jeremy Brinkerhoff

Jeremy moved to Prescott in 1997 to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. After graduating in 2000, he stayed in the Prescott area, got married in 2001 and began work with the Prescott Fire Department in 2002. Jeremy spent 10 years with PFD in the wildland division then as a structural firefighter/ EMT. Jeremy, Merissa and their 3 kids were then called to serve as missionaries with the Assemblies of God in the island nation of Vanuatu from 2012-2014.

Upon their return, Jeremy started in pastoral ministry with Lifepointe Church in Prescott Valley where he now serves as the Executive Pastor. Lifepointe has a great partnership with Lake Valley Elementary School and a growing relationship with Humboldt Unified. Jeremy is excited to serve as a member of the HEF to further support the students and teachers of HUSD!

Lindsey Dooley

Lindsey Dooley

Lindsey Dooley brings almost 20 years of experience as a licensed insurance professional, known for her thoughtful guidance, clear communication, and commitment to meaningful service.

Originally from Louisiana, she has proudly called Yavapai County home since December 2021. A devoted mother to two adult children, Lindsey also gives back through active volunteer work in the community. She brings a balanced blend of professional expertise, integrity, and community-centered dedication to her role on the board.

Jayme Tisdale

Jayme Tisdale

Jayme is married with three children, two of whom have already gone through the HUSD school system, while one is still attending, giving her a strong personal connection to the district.

As a former Art teacher at Granville Elementary, she thrived on sharing her passion for creativity with kids. Now, as HUSD's Communication Specialist, Jayme is dedicated to making sure the district’s voice is clear, engaging, and well-connected to the community.
